BOOKING AND RATES
How do I get a quote?
Use the quote form or call 416.576.8820. The form asks for artwork dimensions, addresses and dates, and you can upload photos from your phone. Quotes usually come back the same day. We do not do automated instant quotes; every job is priced by a person.
What does local transportation cost?
$200 per hour for two technicians, one hour minimum. Each additional handler is $75 per hour with a four hour minimum. Evenings after 6pm and weekends bill at 1.5×.
What does packing cost?
$190 per hour for two technicians, plus a $50 travel flat fee if packing is not combined with transportation. Each additional technician is $75 per hour. Materials are billed separately.
What does installation cost?
Rates start at $190 an hour for two technicians. Please see the rates page for details.
What does storage cost?
Storage rates are calculated by cubic foot. Length of storage also affects pricing. Give us the dimensions and we will provide a quote.
SERVICE AREA AND HOURS
Where is the local rate area?
South of Highway 401 and east of Highway 427. Outside that, and throughout Southern Ontario, we quote by distance.
Do you work Saturdays?
Yes. Saturday service is available, billed at the weekend rate.
What are your hours?
Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. The office is in downtown Toronto.
Do you deliver to art fairs?
Yes, all across North America, including New York, Chicago and Miami.
SHUTTLES AND BORDERS
How often does the New York shuttle run?
Bi-weekly, Toronto to New York, door to door with a two-man crew and GPS tracking. Montreal and Ottawa run monthly.
What is a consolidated shuttle?
Your work travels with other consignments on a scheduled run, which is why it costs less than a dedicated truck. Dedicated and LOFO options are also available.
Who handles customs?
We clear through our broker network, or through your own agent if you prefer. Shipping documentation is prepared as part of the job.
Do you offer bonded storage?
Bonded warehouse coming soon! Customs clearance is available now.
TRUCKS, CRATES AND COVERAGE
What are the trucks like?
Climate controlled, air-ride suspension, lift gate equipped, fully alarmed and unmarked. Nothing on the outside says what is inside.
Is my work insured?
Cargo insurance is available on request. Installation work carries General Liability coverage, and all technicians are covered by WSIB.
What is ROKBOX?
An award winning reusable crate that reduces the environmental impact, risk and cost of shipping and storing art. For the price of soft packing a painting you can now use a ROKBOX.
Can I see my work while it is in storage?
Yes. The viewing gallery is 750 sq ft, attached to the warehouse, white walled and temperature controlled, for viewing, documentation or conservation. $275 for the first hour including one technician and 30 minutes of prep.

Who actually shows up?
Artists. We have never hired a shipper or installer who is not also a practising artist, and the crew wears artverb* uniforms.
Who is Herb?
A 31-year-old restored Grumman Kurbmaster with a double padded, carpeted cargo area. He still works locally and turns up in parades.
How long have you been doing this?
Since 2003. Twenty plus years of professional art handling, independent and artist-run the whole way.
